Mountain Heritage High School counselors' provide a comprehensive counseling program that addresses three areas of all students' lives:

  • Career Development / Life Planning
  • Educational Development
  • Personal / Social Development

Counseling services offered include helping students plan for their future, helping students and parents when they have life issues, and supporting the school and the community as consultants and partners in the development of services to meet the needs of Yancey County students and their families.

The counseling staff is dedicated to promoting the academic, social, emotional and physical well-being of all our students. We believe all students deserve the opportunity to pursue their goals and dreams. Feel free to stop by the guidance office or make an appointment with your counselor so we can get to know you and you can let us know about your needs.
